Hey everyone. So I love to make custom paintings. It started with children names. But my love for supernatural I wanted to do something relating it. I came up with the idea of a silhouette of a character & then allowing the buyer to pick their 10 favorite quotes to put with the silhouette, so it was personal to them! I paint them on a 11x14 canvas. They are 35$ with 10$ shipping in US.

I have a lot of buyers get these to take to cons to get signed by the wonderful cast! & let me tell you they look awesome with their signatures!

I rarely repost things like this, but I have to say, this moment really affected me. Sam on the ground, cowering away from his brother, his hair covering his face. Submitting, vulnerable. As big of a guy as he is, it’s sometimes hard to remember the “little brother” of it all–but this moment, and the one where Dean tells him to “close your eyes, Sammy”, wow. It was a forcible reminder for me that Dean is Sam’s parent as well as his brother–Dean is the one who protects him. Dean is his Brother’s Keeper. This is such a visceral part of Sam’s being that even when Dean’s beating him mercilessly, Sam believes Dean is good.

Dean killed got their friend Rudy killed, but Dean is good.

Dean shot a child in the head, but Dean is good.

Dean is always good.

Everyone always talks about how codependent Dean is, how much Dean needs Sam. And he does. Oh, he does.

But the way that Sam needs Dean is in some senses more vulnerable. Dean is Sam’s moral compass. If Sam is the car, Dean is the blacktop. Sam BELIEVES in Dean–in his goodness, in his righteousness. Sam will push back, he’ll fight, he’ll go his own way–up to a point. But he always gives into Dean in the end. From the very first episode, we see Sam drop his entire life to follow Dean back into the darkness. Sam turns to Dean when his world is crumbling. He trusts Dean to fix things. Dean has a plan, and it’s better than God’s plan. And when there is no Dean, Sam is lost. We see this time and again–how far Sam will go, how confused he is, how ungodly quickly he puts aside anything and anyone to get Dean back. He will, literally, give up the world–unless Dean tells him not to. It’s the kind of trust a child shows to their guardian.

Or the kind of devotion a man shows his god. 

See, Dean will do anything to save Sam. Kill the world, Dean doesn’t care. Sacrifice his own life, his soul, sure. Dean let the Devil beat him to death just so he could TALK to Sam one last time. And when it comes down to it, not even the Mark of Cain, the First Murderer, can make Dean kill his baby brother.

But Sam? Sam will let Dean kill him. If Dean wants it. If he needs it to happen. If Dean says Sam needs to die, Sam will kneel before him and submit. Because he has faith. Not in God, not anymore. But in Dean? Always.

Their love is beyond codependent at this point.

It’s almost holy.
